Recipe Ingredient
- 1 large fresh green chilli, seeded and finely chopped
- 2 green peppers, seeded and chopped
- 2 carrots, peeled, diced
- 1 large brown onion, halved, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoons tomato paste
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan, add the chilli and green peppers, and cook gently for 5 minutes
- Place the beans in a bowl and cover with cold water. Set aside and soak overnight.
- Combine water, stock, tomatoes, tomato paste and allspice in a large saucepan.
- Bring slowly to the boil, then turn down the heat, cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
